Javier Caldera-Nieves,
MD – Director of Laboratory Services
Dr. Caldera received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of
Puerto Rico. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School
of Medicine and completed a medical internship and residency at the University of
Puerto Rico Hospital at Carolina. Dr. Caldera went on to complete a 2 year fellowship
in Toxicology at Parkland Memorial Hospital/University of Texas Southwestern Medical
School in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Board Eligible in
Toxicology, and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Texas
College of Emergency Physicians and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Caldera, a native of Puerto Rico, has lived in Dallas for 3 years with his wife
and their 2 daughters. An avid gardener he enjoys growing bonsais and also raises
saltwater and koi fish. |
